Where are all the women singlespeeders?

Ladies!

We are heading into the final three races of the short-track series at PIR and
so far the largest Womens' Singlespeed field has been a whopping -- sit down now
-- six racers.
SIX.
After all the groundwork that was laid to establish the category last year, it
would be a shame to see the category dwindle away so soon. (Especially since USA
Cycling now awards national champion's jerseys for separate Mens' and Womens'
singlespeed categories in cyclocross; I smell a trend...)

If you already ride a singlespeed mountain or cyclocross bike, you ought to try
racing against other women who do the same! There's still time to sign up for
the last three races of the short-track series, and if you win all three races
you could bound ahead of a few of us currently in fourth or fifth place overall.
Think about it. Seriously.

You're racing on a singlespeed bike; why not give yourself some credit for it?
Race Womens' Singlespeed at PIR Short-track next week!
Because it's cheaper!
Because racing without derailleurs makes you look like a total rock star!
Because it's FUN!
