All teams-

If you participate in this- this counts toward your "giving back to

OBRA mtb riders in the Portland area please read below
NWTA has received permission to do following...........
Hard work has paid off! But we need to do a little more. But this little more could have a huge impact on landowner understanding what good stewards we mtb riders are. PLEASE COME OUT AND HELP WITH THIS EFFORT on Wednesday July 27th at 5 PM. Need bodies to help for about an hour with litter/trash pick up on both the North and South sides, then some people to clear the center sections of trail (South side) that were torn up in clear-cutting. This will connect the top all the way back down to Hwy 30 for those doing the downhill run and also open the Southside loops with the connection that was taken out. This is HUGE!!!!!! Please help if you ride out there. NWTA will document with some photos to show the landowner what we accomplish..... the more trash and better job overall we do is good for our relationship with them. NWTA has permission to enter with one vehicle to allow loading of trash. The main idea is to spend about an hour cleaning, an hour removing debris from the clear-cut trail and then ride until we dusk. There will even be a van to shuttle people who want to do the long DH run once debris is moved from trail.
Bring Bike, riding gear, gloves, water etc. NO POWER SAWS of anykind. Remember to not block gates and be courteous to road users as many are neighbor land owners. Maybe carpool if possible. Lets knock this out and ride!

Thanks to anyone who can help with this important effort for riding close to metro area. Every person counts in an effort like this one.
If I can answer any questions I will do so, but Andy is a great guy with the first hand knowledge.
