Rick Potestio and I are pleased to announce the first annual Giro di
Portland Criterium. We have teamed up the Portland Festa Italiana to bring
the excitement of bike racing to the streets of the Pearl District.

Ladies and Masters, you have asked for a downtown crit for years, and we
have listened. Here are the details:

August 21st, first race will start at 4:30 PM.

Schedule:
4:30 - Master's 35+ Cat 1/2/3 (40 Mins)
5:15 - Men's Cat 3 (40 Mins)
6:00 - Women's Cat 1/2/3 (45 Mins)
6:50 - Men's Cat 1/2 (60 Mins)

Course: The six corner course in the heart of the Pearl District will have
something for everyone. Fast corners, long finishing straight, a bit of
elevation and even some cobblestones. Course map available here:

Prizes: There will be cash prizes for all fields, plus gift certificates
and merchandise from our sponsors. We do not have our final prize list set
yet, but I can tell you it will be significant (Thousands of dollars in
cash).
