I built these wheels last year and rode them on 4-5 racing days at Alpenrose
velodrome. Never crashed, punctured, ridden on pavement or in bad weather.
The tires are securely glued with Continental's excellent rim cement and
show hardly any wear. Dura-Ace track hubs are well-known for their
finely-polished, nearly frictionless bearings and the Escape is among the
lightest alloy tubular rims on the market today. I haven't been able to fit
in any track time this year and would rather see these beauties get ridden
than admire them hanging on a peg. These top-quality, expertly built wheels
would retail for $750-800. Yours for $400.
