Shimano 10 spd bar end shifters do not have the friction option on the front shifter like the 9 spd models. Not a problem for those who want the index shifting front and back.
I would like some input on my idea. If one wants the 10 spd index shifting on rear cogs use the 10 spd bar end shifter. If friction shifting is desired on the front he/she could use the old 9 spd bar end shifter. I see no reason why this would not work. Just have to remember there is a 9 / 10 spd combo of bar end shifters on the bike. I do not care if I get feed back off or on list as I figure this is good information for people who do not know answer.
I know some might ask....”bar end shifters?”..... but I prefer them for various reasons.
