Yes! A BIG thanks to Mike Ripley and all his "helpers". Also a big "shout
out" to the person (I did not hear his name) who runs the park and or is
ranger there for being so supportive of a group of people like us who try to
provide such a positive outlet for humans!
It was wonderful to be back out" racing" in the woods. And yes...even
though I felt pretty slow, I did feel like I was racing!!!!
It was so great to see all you folks. And I must say.... I never feel
cheated when Don "crushes" the course to take a win. From what I could tell
everyone had a great time. I might note...Don, Russ and I (top 3 60+) were
all on 29ers. I think we have converted Marantz as well. Way to go
everyone!
The new addition of single-track was fantastic for breaking up the climb and
the rest of the single-track was beyond sweet. I love it when you have to
not just point the bike....but think as well! I am sure Rip will make it
even better next year.
How good does it get. Racers having fun here in Oregon at various sites
while at the same time our own are doing great in Europe!

Thanks to Mike Ripley for a great race today at a great venue during the
summer. When I started racing a few years ago summer was the season, it was
a pleasure to race in the dead of summer, warm, no rain fun hanging out.
If you haven't been on the single track at Alsea Falls you should. Some of
the best around.
A big thanks to Mike for loaning me shorts and a jersey, due to my senior
moment.
The best part though was seeing Ron out there racing. Thanks for showing up.
