USA Cycling is now restructured to include a sport committee for each of the
main cycling venues it oversees, including Road, Mountain Bike, Pro, BMX,
Collegiate, Track and Cyclocross. These sport committees are made up of
racers, officials, promoters, coaches and at large members. Some of the
positions for these committees are to be filled very soon in 2011. If you
race USAC races and are interested in having a voice, take a look at the
positions that are available in the various committees. If you qualify and
would like to be nominated, it's a simple process. You just have to fill out
a little paperwork and get some signatures that you then mail, fax or scan
into USA Cycling. As someone who has been on a board at USA Cycling for
several years now and is finishing up my term, I've found myself
representing Oregon racing and touting OBRA constantly and hope that several
others from Oregon will continue that representation. I highly recommend
