   I would like to thank the riders at Pier Park this afternoon. We

realize that the parking situation is less than ideal, but everyone was

very cooperative. We recieved almost entirely good comments from local

residents. It is small things like parking away from residents that

have to deal with a lot of events in the park and treating the local

residents with respect that make it possible for us to use this and

other popular locations for cross races.

   While the Portland Parks department has told us we cannot use this

venue again, the support of the neighborhood and you the racers may

allow us to fight for use of this park in the future.

   Thanks again for participating and helping us keep the venues we

have.
