Hello OBRAland,
I'm selling a custom built/painted Serotta Ottrott SE frameset. The Ottrott is a titanium and carbon fiber mix with carbon top tube, down tube and seat stays. The frameset includes the painted to match fork and black Chris King headset. Frame is painted, including the ti tubes, mostly black with classic seat tube and down tube panels of baby blue and dark blue with white lettering.
All Serottas are hand made in Saratoga Springs, New York. The carbon tubes were manufactured in Poway, California.
The SE version of the frame means it uses a higher grade of titanium in the tubeset, has titanium dropouts and cablestops, has carbon seat stays and uses the ST bearing system at the chain stay seat stay junction. The bearing allows for the slightest amount of compression resulting in an amazingly smooth ride with excellent response.
Dimensions: top tube length center to center: 59.5cm (top tube is traditional, non sloping)
Seat tube length center to center: 60cm
Head tube length: 18cm (plus 3cm worth of King headset)
Head angle: 73 degrees
Seat angle: 73 degrees
Steerer tube is long enough to accommodate 4cm of spacers before the stem (depending on the stem, of course)
The bike has been ridden, obviously, but it is in very good condition. A few paint scuffs on the drive side chain stay and a small chip in the seat stay wish bone that I touched up. There are no scratches or dents. It's a very classy frame with traditional lines and paint. Definitely a summer bike with very little real rain riding. Besides, it's titanium and carbon, rain makes no difference.
Retail price on the frameset is $6800 (seriously. That's without paint!)
I paid $5100
asking $2500 for frame, fork, headset. It is currently built with Dura Ace 7900 with Dura Ace 7850 tubeless wheels. If interested in the complete, make an offer. Pics readily available.
Thanks for looking. Email with questions.
Thanks,
Matt
