Actually, that date was left open on purpose so that everyone will be well
rested for the following weekend so we can race all three races on October
9th. All you need to do is sandbag the beginner race at Rainier (don't ask
the OBRA list, it's OK, just do it), hop on your private jet to race the
Kiddie kilo at Crossaflixion in Bend, and then it's just a short hop down to
K Falls to race the A race at the end of the day.
Cobra Kai could do it......easy! Heck, Kai will probably just clone
himself (herself?) twice and do all three. Just think how handy those
clones would be. You could have one in the pits washing your bikes, and
another to tag up and do a lap for you while you rest. Don't forget to
order spare race numbers so your clone doesn't $#&! with Candi's lap counts.
Seriously though, it's still early, there's still a little bit of time left
for the dates to sort out. October 1st is a prime date. Hopefully one of
the promoters has the flexibility with their venue to shift to the open
Saturday and/or the open date on Dec 3rd. We don't really need more races,
just a fraction more utilization of open dates and less overlap of dates
within the same discipline/region where possible. Generally, the scheduling
to minimize overlap in race dates within OBRA is done remarkably well.
Always room for improvement though.
Besides, Ron Strasser has already put in a request.....and nobody refuses
Ron Strasser.
