David Douglas CX Race #1 (Vancouver, WA) – Sept. 3rd
It looks like a great weekend for ‘cross. We wanted to put out a few reminders about this coming Saturday.
• LOCATION - The race will be held in VANCOUVER, WA at David Douglas Park, not David Douglas in Portland. Check the flier for detailed directions.
• NO ALCOHOL allowed at the city Park. We’ll have all the beer you need at Ninkrossi (Oct. 15th).
• PARKING - There is no parking allowed along Garrison, you will be towed. If the main lots fill up, you can park in the Garrison Square lot, a few blocks south. Please stay off all ball fields.
• TEAM TENTS - We will have a team tent area designated along the north parking area (see map). Please follow parking attendant’s instructions.
• FOOD – We will have free coffee, Belgian Waffles by vendor “Three Little Birds”, and a hot dog vendor Deano’s.
• CALL UPS – There will be call-ups for all preregistered racers. After the first race call-ups will be based on series points (See the GPMC flier for details).
• NUMBERS – We will be using 2011 OBRA CX numbers this year. They will be good for all GPMC races and the Cross Crusade races. Bring your 2011 OBRA card for registration. There will be no number distribution before Saturday.
• RACE COURSE – This will be a modified version of last year’s course, a little easier for the first CX race of the year. The BIG run-up will be there Oct. 29th!
• DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION - Registration opens at 8:00am and closes 15 minutes before each race. Please schedule enough time for registration, especially if you still have to purchase an OBRA license.
• RACING AGE - your racing age is your age on 12/31/2011.
• GPMC – This is the first race of nine in the GPMC. Come out and get your series points account started! www.gpmc.cx
• FUN – Expect to have a blast! See you on Saturday.
