I am selling my well-loved XC mountain bike. The frame is small, measuring 16" from the center of the bb to the top of the seat tube, and 13" from the center of the bb to the center of the sloping top tube. the virtual top tube length is roughly 21" c to c. I am unsure the brand of the frame, as it came to me without decals or any easily identifiable features. The frame is probably about 10 or so years old, and features a straight 1 1/8" headtube and a 68mm bottom bracket shell, as well as ample clearances. It shows sign of use, with some paint missing here and there as well as some scratches. Structurally, though, the frame is totally sound.
The build is more modern than the frame: It sports a Rockshox Reba fork, from 2007 or 2008. According to the previous owner, it was freshly rebuilt before I purchased it. Since than, I have probably used it 20 times in all. So, there is plenty of life left in it. It has 100mm of travel, and with a spacer kit is adjustable to 80 or 120. The bike also features Hayes hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, and Shimano LX 9 speed front/rear derailleurs and rear shifter. The front shifter is XT. The cranks are outboard bearing Raceface Ride XC, the headset is an FSA orbit, and it has bontrager riser bars with newish oury lock on grips. It has a generic seatpost and stem, as well as a Selle Italia Flite saddle. The front wheel is a bontrager race disk, and the rear is a Shimano Deore hub laced to a Sun Equalizer Rim.
This bike is totally raceable, and a great inexpensive way to dip your toes into mountain bikes without spending a fortune.
