You have it Steve. It is funny as I just returned from out there and saw all the signs. I let my dogs out to pee behind the gate, loaded up and drove home to post on OBRA and let Tom Slovak (who posted that) on NWTA know if he didn’t already. I actually see this as a positive because they might actually get the herbicide spraying done during the fire closure and we have the area off-limits for just one time instead of two. Then they just re-plant later in fall. Then we just need to work with the landowner to allow us to keep the blackberries hacked back from trails as trees grow.
The good news is....I was in the clouds, it was misty and if the forecast holds, we may not get enough rain to re-open the areas real soon, but mother nature will get the moisture content of atmosphere and soil higher within a few weeks for sure............To be honest, it is more fun out there when it is moist.
