There are so many B/SS riders that if only friends, wives and girl friends stick around there will still be a crowd.

i can't imagine anyone sticking around to watch the B's. no disrespect whatsoever but the only reason i ever stuck around was to watch the A's from time to time. sometimes i even do two races but i don't see that happening this year. sitting around waiting for 2-3 hours between races is just long enough for me to come to my senses. i assume this is to force some B's to cat up to A's or maybe it's assuming that the singlespeeders are still hungover and need the extra sleep.

one upside for me (master A), is that i don't have to watch everyone else enjoy the festival atmosphere all day while I resist the great food, drink, and fun while I focus and prepare for my race, only to finish my race and have all the vendors packed up, team BBQ's cooling off and I'm left to a lonely PB&J and a coke I put in the cooler that morning while I pack up the team tent. Also the course conditions can be vastly different for the last race of the day. it would be nice to race a course that hasn't been pounded yet by 1200 racers. its just a different experience. Being the last event of the day is a mixed blessing. I think having this slot rotate year to year isnt a bad thing.

actually, I have had others tell me they are excited to have the SS last so that they can focus on their category race earlier and still get to race the SS race for fun afterwards. I expect the SS race population to increase....

Just the opinion of one...

Excuse me if this topic has been brought up.

I was just curious as to why the A's have been moved to 1pm, and the
B/SS to 3:45? I am sure there is a reason out there...

I've always liked saving the best for last. Its fun to see how the big
boys tackle the course after you've gave it a shot. That being said,
the A's are one reason I even stick around until the end. I don't
think we are going to see the reverse effect.

I guess I can eat a solid lunch before I race, but I wonder if anyone
is going to be around..

Any opinions?
