Jeff,
Sorry to hear we are loosing a good venue, but like you said, all things have a lifespan.
In addition to the donation, we might want to have a "Thank you" card for racers to sign (preferably not in mud or blood) to the school thanking them for the years of opening up their grounds for a fun race.

Why don't you come on out and send this great course off with the greatest fields ever?
