Greetings OBRA,

September 20th and SUNNY and 83 is the Forecast. How about a little road
racing tonight??

Last week went down a little different then the first week when we decided
to make the Cat 1-2 Field work a little harder.

With about 50 Riders in the Open Race at 6:30 here's how it went down.

We estimated about 11 laps based on the daylight available.

The Cat 4/5 Men and All Categories of Women took off first with a 1 Minute
45 Second head start over a large Cat 3 Field.

We then Let 2 Minutes and 15 second elapse before sending off a fairly good
size field of Cat1-2 Men.

This gap proved to be a bit too much for the Charging Cat 1-2 Field. The
larger Cat 3 field made short work of the catch on the Cat 4/5 Group and
once combined and organized they kept the gap between the Cat 1-2 field at 1
Minute or better for the duration of the race.

Once it was apparent that the 3/4/5 Field would finish sans Cat 1-2 Field,
strategies for the final sprint changed and left the opportunity for the win
wide open.

Mark Crawford sealed the deal in the final sprint and has secured his
overall leadership of the series. With a few more Team Members, Mark might
take home the monthly series prize.

Tonight looks to provide us with another stellar evening of racing. We'll
adjust the time gaps again to make things interesting and as always it will
be a fun evening of racing.

Come join...

Cat 4/5 Novice Race starts at 6pm, if we have enough to create a field. This
race is also Cat and Mouse with the 4's chasing the 5's for about 6 laps.

The Open Race for all Categories starts at 6:30 Sharp.

Numbers on the RIGHT.

See you out there!!
