WTB: toe spikes for Sidi Dominators

Yeah, but the metal ones are better for stomping your opponents, Victor!
:-)
(Just kidding- I don't need to stomp anyone to maintain my lower packfill status, lol)

Do we not play in the same mud? BTW, they do make "narrow" 3/4" cleats and they are even harder to find.

For me it's not the length. It's the profile. The narrow metal Sidi spikes dig in like fangs. The chubby soccer spikes just act like bigger lugs on the fronts of my shoes. I've tried both and on a greasy run up, I want those metal fangs digging in to the ground. Junked my soccer cleat spikes after one race.
I'll agree that the Sidi spikes are rather expensive. However, I've been using mine for quite a while now and they are still going strong. I figure I'm paying like $.25 per race for them by now ...

Yes, 1/2" soccer cleats do suck (which most people use), but 3/4" plastic soccer cleats as good as SIDI cleats. Picked mine up for 50 cents (or $15 for a pack of 100) instead of getting ripped off at $14 for SIDI. At your local soccer or lacross shop. Mine lasted the entire season and are not dangerously slippery when running on pavement.

Soccer cleats suck for cyclocross toe spikes, atmo. I tried soccer cleats as a cheap and easy solution and hated them. The Sidi spikes I have bite like fangs and work excellently. I also suggest that you get two set and grind about half the spike off of one set. Use the stubby spikes for dry races.
But getting back to the original question, I got mine and River City years ago. Try calling them.

I want to go in the other direction.
does someone have the flat headed screws from their Sidi's?

I would like them, as I am about to take my toe spikes off.
I have been commuting in my MTB shoes and find I don't need to dig in quiet so hard into my son's school floor!

contact me off list!

thanks
