the new registration management sent a little birdie to my house and said she will pay the 2nd week's registration fee for the 125th AND 150th pre-registered rider for this week's race! there are 82 pre-reg riders at this moment and there is still 6 hours and 9 minutes left to register for Wednesday's race....sounds like a good deal to me....makes sense....just saying ;o)

Subject: [OBRA Chat] lose a tooth? win a pass! BDIII pre-reg closes tonight...
oh... well hello.
first off-
we'd like to offer a free season pass to blind date this year to anyone who loses a whole tooth (c'mon, anyone can chip one) on a railroad tie at barlow today. it's the least we could do. i haven't actually cleared this with joe yet, but i know the man pretty well by now and i assure you he's on board. it's also important to note that due to a management shift in our registration department, preregistration for the upcoming weeks race will close on sunday at midnight as opposed to last years tuesday at noon deadline. sorry for the inconvenience, but we were unable to finalize contract negotiations with our support office overseas, and we all know how expensive good staff is stateside. so, the first race is always a little bonkers as everyone has to pickup numbers and do the extra first date primping... so if you plan on coming out this week do us all a favor and prereg online tonight. we won't give you a hard time if you don't though. i mean, rubin probably won't be running up and down the "not preregistered" line with his boxing gloves and working on his jabs to the belt. the dairy dirt moving project is all finished up, and the tropical storm we are experiencing is doing a sweet job of helping things settle. i'll be out there for the next couple days with a bunch of awesome tools that run on gas to smooth out the new areas and dig up all the blue plastic chunks and making some course changes. stumptown will be out with coffee and primes, madison's will be there with dinner, 21st avenue bicycles will ready to help you with what you broke on your bike, the new shirts and our fresh castelli caps will be for sale, and joe and i will be running around like morons trying to keep everything from breaking. it's gonna be awesome. xo-t
