Barlow Race

I left just after 2 PM (do not know if more rain came into area), but up until that time, the Barlow course might have had the most forgiving surface conditions of my experience racing there. The rain last evening softened the bumps from the brutal impact when the course is totally dry, but did not soften any places so much that we had tough sucky mud. This really made the course the fast. Great traction and excellent temperature for racing. Of course they threw in that extra gradual climb on the back side to help with pain and calorie burn, but as has become the norm at Battle at Barlow, it was really fun.
Great job of organization Veloce Bicycles! This is a TOP LEVEL event. Thanks all involved.
Lots of smiles out there. Man those A racers are fast!
