Carded at the Blind Date

I may have to bribe an official to let me pretend to pitch a fit at them if
it means I get donuts and bacon thrown at me. I get hungry during those long
40 minute races.

Gentlemen,

The 10-second rule would apply, and I would scarf both bacon and donuts off the ground immediately (and then grab a cheesburger). Gotta eat!

Shane,

Now you are just talking silly. Wasting a good doughnut is one thing, but bacon too. That is a crime.

Just my opinion.

I watched someone pitch a fit at Melanie Rathe last night and it wasn't kind.

That's when race officials and volunteers should have the power to eject a
racer for that race ... and it should be exercised. There is nothing more
despicable than a racer that pitches a fit at a race official or volunteer.
Either that, or they should be pointed out, and the Clydesdales should be
allowed to administer mob justice and pelt them with donuts and bacon until
they adjust their attitude ...

I should also point out that if people bring their cards it would be possible for us to use a bar code scanner to get all your info an make the registration data entry a lot easier.

I wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who brought their OBRA cards to the Blind Date registration desk yesterday. It makes registration much easier when I get to read typed names, numbers, addresses etc from your card when registering your number/info into the category sheets that the scorers use.

Thx again - see you next week!
