I hear he drinks PBR, so if you're in the 72nd and Sandy area, feel free to
drop off a six pack. :) Or just go in and buy a couple of tubes for your
commuter and support the good guys.

I thought the same thing, believe me.

They're on NE Sandy and 72nd. I live about 25 blocks away so I'm doing some
late evening ride-bys after work just to make sure things look cool. It's a
little neighborhood store with just the owner and the mechanic. They
definitely can't afford a lot of problems.

And NICK needs to know that OBRA members will have his back if the jerks to
anything to his shop! Small minds are capable of some hurtful things.
Dave. You need to be our eyes and ears on that one. Where is that shop?

I just want to give a quick shout out to Nick the mechanic at a little bike
shop called The Missing Link. Four weeks to the day after my beloved custom
Thursday was stolen in a home burglary, it was brought into Missing Link in
hopes of being parted out. Nick was totally on the ball and recognized it
immediately. He put the bike on the stand, feigned interest in a the pedals
and removed them so the bike couldn't be ridden off. He then slipped into
the back room where he called the Portland Police on his mobile. And if
that's not cool enough, he kept the thieves busy until the officers arrived
to arrest them!
