USE MUD TIRES! They work even if no mud! One thing for sure is they got
some rain the last few days. There will be some more (do not believe
weather forecasters) and most important think about the fact it is a FARM.
The farm is located south of Dayton right next to the Willamette river.
There are some minor hills (more like mounds of sediment) where buildings
reside, but it is a place with fertile soil, lots of various plant life and
most important A FANTASTIC PLACE FOR A CYCLOCROSS COURSE. The entire Family
can be entertained at Heiser Farm. Lots to do while mom, dad and or kids
are racing (if distraction needed). Remember they have a Pumpkin Cannon!
Last year was crazy fun! I do not think it will be as muddy this year. But
there will be mud, grass, gravel, puddles and cowbell. Every year there has
been a good race course.
Great way to stretch the legs out the day before Rainier and the climbing!

It's early, and until this week we haven't had much rain. Scuba gear and a
Surly Moonlander should suffice.

looking for any info about the Heiser Farm Cross course, from those who
have raced it in the past, is this muddy course like Kruegers (muddy fields)
& PIR, or is it more of a fast hard pack course, or something else ? I'm
trying to determine which tires to mount up (I have only one set of wheels
right now), any and all detaisl are appreciated. Thanks - JD
