Most initial ccx categories are self selected. You can pick where you want to start.
If you earn 3 top three placings or 5 top five placings i usually send you a message that it is time to mandatorily move up. Some times these slip by a little :-)
You can make the move any time you feel you are ready, if you do not meet the above criteria.
You do not need to apply. A self move may not earn you a call up

I have some questions about Upgrading in Cyclocross....

Wondering who decides when someone is ready for and Upgrade in cyclocross ?

When do these Upgrades take place ?
Does someone within OBRA decide that a person is ready for an Upgrade or
does each individual have to Apply for an Upgrade ?
Is there a General Rule of Thumb or a Hard Rule ?
Can someone choose to race in the A's if they are normally in the C's or B's
?
