> I hope everyone has enjoyed the first two weekends of theCross Crusade. This week is a chance for all you flat landers to get even with the climbers that whooped up at Rainier. We will be using the Heron Lakes course on the North end of P.I.R. As in years past, we will allow teams to bring one vehicle into the race infield. We know how much everyone enjoys setting up camp on the race course and we agree that it is great for the overall vibe of the event. That being said, there is simply not enough space for every participant to park there. So any team that wants to have a vehicle and tent space in the infield should send me a note between now and Friday. Include team name and name of person driving the vehicle. Team cars will need to be in before 8:00am and won't be able to leave until the conclusion of racing (approx 4:15pm). There is no charge for team tent space.

> This week, Ovation Catering will be pouring Deschutes beer. Cross Crusade pint glasses have arrived and will be on sale at Crusade Gear. We are working out the details now for a special pint glass/ Deschutes beer deal.

> Only one minor scolding this week. A number of people have been seen not using the porta potties in the last two weekends. I don't want to come off sounding too draconian , but that is a good way for us to lose a venue. From now on, anyone seen conducting said activity will receive a stern scolding, possible disqualification, and maybe even a Black Knight golden shower. Did I just say that out loud?
