Kiddie Kross at PIR

Tim,
You might have already gotten a reply from Cross Crusade people, but I do
know the BTA is involved with doing the Kiddie Kross race for them. I do
not help the out this year, but there might have been some confusion at the
location you mention. If you do not get an official reply, bring it up with
them at the next race. Usually they are very organized and kids have a
GREAT time (I saw some of it and they were loving it as usual). They might
have been crunched for time as the schedule was running behind and they
needed to get the kids race finished up.
Keep 'em on the bike!

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Kiddie Kross at PIR

I want to first start with saying the work and volunteers that put effort
into the kiddie kross are great.

I do have one possible concern however. At PIR one of my kids did the 'A'
race that did a full lap with a gopro camera on. There were a large age
range of kids that choose to do the full lap A race. When my son made if
over to the run up side with the barriers of the the course by paved tent
area and metal dividers, someone directed several kids, 6-12 or so, to get
off course but gave no further details and the kids just ended up stopping
on their bikes on the other end from where parents were. My mother in-law
was there and my son was returned to the start, but this could be a serious
issue as the kids are following directions from adults and could easily be
told to go anywhere or with anyone. I just thought someone should be aware.

If kids were not suppose to do a full lap then please at least direct them
back to the start.

thanks,
