T. Kenji Sugahara
It was a dark and stormy night on the evening of November 2nd, 2011.
In 3 short days the Apple Core Cross Race was to happen.
Something evil made its appearance in the fields of EZ Orchards.
Something that hadn't made much of an appearance in the cyclocross
season of 2011.
With a shlep shlep shlep and squish squish squish... the feared brown
monster made its appearance. The mudmonster spread his arms and down
dripped the ooze.
The mudmonster cackled with glee as he spread the slippery mud to
cause the innocent cyclocross racers to slip and slide. He dared the
Oregonians, Washingtonians, Californians, Idahoans and Alaskans to
make their appearance and test their mettle against his wily ways.
The mudmonster hath thrown the gauntlet agains the Portlandites, the
Eugenites, Bendites and everyone far and wide.
With nary a hill in sight, he conspired with the guinea pigs, k men
and Z to come up with a course with mud, grass, long straights,
slippery mud and even a hay bale mountain run up and down.
The mudmonster declared that in two days- the online pre-reg shall
close. November 4 at 5:00 PM. Will you do battle?

Part of the GPMC. Googling GPMC I come up with Group Policy
Management Console, the Greater Pittsburgh Mustang Club .... but at #9
in the google results- Grand Prix Molly Cameron!!! Oh and if you're
wondering why I listed Alaska- there's actually someone coming down
from Alaska to race!
As a special note to the ladies!!! We're doing something special for
you. We're doing an actual Women's Category C race!!!!! You'll use
your beginner number BUT you'll tie a little ribbon to your number.
(so you can tell each other apart). You'll also start with the
beginner women so you won't lose any GPMC points. Let us know at
registration whether you want to try out this C category. In the
results- you'll be listed along with the beginners but there will be a
notation in the notes field that you raced as a Category C. Then you
can see how you stacked up against the other gals who chose that
category!!!
Also for the kids who feel like they are a little too old for kiddie
kross but are too young for the junior field, we're offering a tweener
kross "race". To add to it we'll have Donald Reeb, Tina Brubaker and
Rob Fox helping out!
Prizes!
Cat A Men & Women
$50 to the winner of the first lap (1x for the women, 1x for the men)
$10 for the wearer of the skimpiest outfit (women must wear at least a
bra and panties, men must wear at least panties.. er... undies. In
case of a tie, the tie will be settled by who can do 10 pushups and a
25 yard dash the fastest) - note- you have to start in the outfit-
but if you get really cold- put some clothes in the pit. :P
EZ Orchards will also be kicking in some prizes for the other categories!
The Mudmonster, the K Men and Z hope to see you there.
