To all of my many 'helpers:'
Hard to believe, but my "crash" happened one year ago, 11/17/10! Taken
to hospital, unconscious for 24 hours, etc... I guess I had a stroke!
I'd been really enjoying being a rider, so the therapeutic part was a
natural! I may not rejoin the peleton, but I'll give thanks to all of
you who visited me through my recovery; couldn't have done it with out
you (well, the thought of you really helped!)! This is true from the
early days of recovery, where I hardly knew my name, to now, a year
later (sometimes I'm still a bit fuzzy on the name part :-)
My health is great, and I'm riding every day, running the other days. I
did 30 miles today, and felt wonder-bar! My basic route is east thru
town to about SE 90th, where I get on the marvelous freeway bike path
heading south and west...the up thru cemetery, or north along the train
tracks into PDX where I then cross Hawthorn Bridge...
May the OBRA family keep applying gentle pressure to all, and may all
respond with like manner! We have a great organization!!
