All I have to say is I would love to see some more 60+ men (and women) out
there to race. H**L. You are already cold from poor cardio circulation due
to age..... a little more cold and wet will just make everything evenly
numb. Remember. Rolan Hurtecant is still racing Cross over age 70
(Cyclocross Magazine issue 12).... and we can do it too! Do not be the
silent majority (remember that one....the young ones don't). Come on! We
can talk about all our bouts with disease, fighting through aches / pains,
stupid things we did when we were young enough to race in 50+... or old
surgeries. Remember when down tube shifters were the only choice? How
about those 27" steel wheels? Heck for that matter....steel everything!
Or we can talk about the here and now as we are not dead yet! Earn your
gravy on those mashed potatoes! Lets freeze our fannys off together and
feel better that we did when done! There is plenty of time for hospitals
and therapy later.
Oh yes. Remember to take your meds on time!
