Subject: [OBRA Chat] Winter Cross – Dec 4th (Sunday)

WINTER CROSS

- Want to end the ‘Cross season on a bang?
- Need to work off those holiday calories?
- Looking for something to do on a Sunday after the Crusade?
- Want to keep your race legs fresh for the USGP in Bend?

Half Fast Velo and Ninkasi Brewing are excited to have our second Ninkasi celebration close to Portland. Come and enjoy a mellow atmosphere as we celebrate a day of fun holiday Cyclocross and fine craft brew. The Party will be held at the Washougal MX Park, a 45 minute drive from downtown Portland. Be prepared for whatever Mother Nature sends our way.

Special notes:
• This will be a new course. We’ll use all of the service roads in and around the MX track, not the ‘Ninkrossi’ course (think of a wet Barton course).
• Wear your ugliest Holiday sweater to celebrate the season.
• All race heats have been shortened by 5 minutes to allow for a full schedule within the short daylight available. Please check the schedule race day for all changes. The first race (Beginner Men) will be at 8:40am. (see rev. schedule below)
• You will need to sign a venue specific waiver at the entry gate. The entry gate will be the second entrance (not the main). No cars on the course!
• This will be the final race of the GPMC and the local CX season!

Course Map: http://g.co/maps/vdpmh

Parking: There is ample parking in the Pro-pit area adjacent to the race course. Just follow the volunteers’ instructions. Parking will be $5 per vehicle, collected at the first gate. Proceeds will help the Fort Vancouver HS Cross Country team, who will be assisting with race day tasks. Zone 5 Promotions has been able to contribute $1350 to the FVHS XC team this year.

Team tents: We will have a team tent area designated inside the MX track (see map).

Schedule:
8:40am - Beginner Men (40 min)
9:30am - Men C, Clydesdale (40 min)
10:20am - *Break* / Course Preview (10 min) 10:30am - Master Men C 35+ (40 min) 11:20am - Master Men B 35+, Master Men 50+, Junior Men (40 min) 12:10pm - **Kiddie Kross A & B (20 min) 12:40pm - Men A, Women A, Master Men A 35+ (55 min) 1:45pm - *Break* / Course Preview (10 min) 1:55pm - Women: B’s, Juniors, Beginners, Master 35+ (A & B), Master 45+ (40 min) 2:45pm - Men B, Single speed (40 min)
