cross bike wash feedback needed!!!

Last Sunday I was at Krugers doing bike washing. The race sponsor hired me at a very cheep rate so that he can offer free bike wash so that his race is even more appealing to racers.

For those of you who know me, I'm a roadie, a TT racer, and don't know much about the cross races. I've heard that washing your bike afterwards can be a pain, long lines, week hoses. I got some feed back about my bike wash service that it still took some time, not as long as the do it yourself garden hose, but I can really clean a bike.

I did not get the bike detailed spotless, with using a low power pressure washer, I was careful of any components with bearings and was careful of saddles and handlebar tape. But people were still amazed at how clean their bikes were when I was done.

I need feedback!!!!! Or atleast infor from cross racers as to problems that they have seen in the past with washing their bikes.

I want to do this for more cross races next year. Like I said I don't even make a profit off of this, I do it because I race for OBRA and I get good advertising out of it, just like any other bike race sponsor.

I want to make it better, I have a few ideas like on my sign stating 5 min bike wash so that people can count the number of people in line and know how long they have to wait. Or maybe providing hot drinks and a make shift warming hut for while you wait. I could also have multiple crews out there.

Give me feed back, positive or negative, it's the only way I can be even better at what I do.

Also check out my new web site I should have some pictures from Krugers on it by the end of the week.

Thanks,
