Explanation on how points were awarded:
- max points possible for 1st place were 10, as long as the field size was 10 riders or more
- if the field size was less than 10, then max available equaled the field size
- 1st place got max, 2nd place got 1 less, etc.
- for example: field size = 8. 1st = 8, 2nd = 7, 3rd = 6, and so on
- OBRA championship race got equal points (no bonus). Again, max was 10 to the winner.
For most categories, the OBRA championship was the largest field of the series. So, for the categories where fields were typically less than 10 riders, the championship race did act like a bonus in that more points were on the line that day. But, the max was still 10.
