We're kicking off the USGP weekend Bend-style on Thursday, December 8, at 6:30 p.m. with a CXmas Party at Powered by Bowen.
Join us as we raise the roof AND raise money for talented local juniors who want to compete in the US Cyclocross National Championships in Madison, Wis., this January.
Special guest Ryan Trebon (LTS/Felt) will be honored with a presentation highlighting his journey from junior racer to one of the country's top pros. Professional photographers Daniel Sharp (Rapha, Bicycling, ROAD Magazine) and Wil Matthews (VeloNews, ROAD Magazine, Zipp) will be exhibiting some of their amazing images of 'cross pros in action, AND the quiet and introverted Colt McElwaine from cyclingdirt.org will be joining us to show some video!
Of course we'll be serving some nosh and holiday cheer (courtesy of Cascade Lakes Brewing Company), and showing some of our favorite CXmas gifts for cyclists, that will be given away during the evening! (Gore gloves, anyone?)
Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds benefit local juniors who need our support to be able to compete in a national arena. We believe it takes a community effort to keep junior cycling in Bend growing, and we hope you will help us make that happen.
Suggested minimum donation at the door is $5 per person, and includes refreshments. Come to Bend early, and party for a good cause!
