Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

Dear Northwest Racers,

It is with great sadness that we canceling the Cherry Blossom Cycling Classic. Unfortunately a lack of funding has forced us to make this decision. Sponsorship funding has become difficult to secure but more importantly we saw dramatic decline in participation last year causing us to reconsider our direction moving forward. I would like to thank all of your who came out and raced this past year we very much appreciate your support. I want to give a huge thanks to our title sponsor of the last two years who carried the bulk of the financial load, Water's Edge Health and Wellness. Also the tremendous support of Taco del Mar, Big Jim's, Castelli, The Dalles Chamber of Commerce, River City and New York City Subs. Finally Sorella Forte for their tireless effort and work to make sure the event ran smoothly. All of you were awesome!

I am sorry that we have come to this end as a number of you had a tremendous passion for the race but without a solid registration and sponsorship base we are at loss. We will now be focusing our attention on the 2012 Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. We are still looking for potential sponsors for Hood. We are hopeful to keep that event rolling forward and are excited to be celebrating our 10 year anniversary next year.
