Hello OBRA-land,

Do you want to help cyclists who have been injured in a cycling accident? Then join us on Saturday, July 21st in White Salmon, WA (just across the river from Hood River) for the 3rd Annual Friends of Jack Benefit Bike Ride. There will be live music, good food, silent auction, beer from Everybody's Brewery, and a fun, but challenging ride with fantastic views makes for a great day.

Friends of Jack is a Portland-based, all volunteer, non profit whose mission is to support fallen riders who have an accident while cycling. The objective of Friends of Jack’s monetary contribution is to make the landing as soft as possible so that riders can heal, without shortening their focus on recovery, and return to life's activities when they are able to sustain themselves.

Friends of Jack was founded by a group of friends in 2010 for our friend, Jack Toland, who was involved in a serious accident while out on a training ride the day before Thanksgiving in 2009. He was unemployed and without insurance at the time. Since 2010, five riders, including Jack, have been helped by fellow cyclists and supporters who have either participated in
the annual ride, or made a donation.

Go to www.friendsofjack.org for more information, or "like" the Facebook page called "Jack Toland's Friends."

Thanks for reading!
