If you would like to run for a position on the OBRA Board of
Directors, please send me an e-mail. Elections will be held at the
Annual Meeting on January 28th.

Board Members whose terms are expiring:

Brad Ross (not running again)
Meg Mautner

OBRA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board gives
advice to and helps the Executive Director achieve policy goals and
shape long term strategy. The Board meets at least twice a year and
most business over e-mail. Ideal candidates should be committed to
the sport, be reasonable and be willing to work on projects.

If you would like to propose a rule change for the 2012 season, please
e-mail Mike Murray (mike.murray@obra.org). These rule changes are to
the racing rules that can be found here:

http://www.obra.org/pdfs/2011rules.pdf

Rules changes and Board elections will be voted on by clubs/teams that
were fully paid and in good standing in 2011. Nominations and rule
changes must be submitted by January 14th.

Flagger training is scheduled for January 21st and will be held in
Salem. It is highly recommended that teams putting on road events
send folks to be trained. ODOT is requiring certified flaggers. OBRA
will subsidize up to 12 people from a team. Folks can register at
http://obra.org/events/20097/register

The officials training will be held on February 11th on Salem. We
will be hosting both road and mountain bike officiating/judging. We
will also be doing a hands on with equipment. Online registration
will open in a week or so. Training is free. All teams are expected
to have at least one person who is trained as an official on their
roster.
