Calling All Tandem Racers,

The tandem racing season kicks off in Oregon on February 19th at Cherry Pie Road Race in Albany (details below). I've included the link below so that you can pre-register today. Tandems race in the morning, and you can race your single bike again in the afternoon for only $10! Amy and I will see you on the starting line.

ROAD: CHERRY PIE ROAD RACE, Feb 19 - Albany, OR
2012 marks the sixth year in a row that tandems have been invited to Cherry Pie. This beautiful 25 mile course has some rollers and few short, but steep climbs that try to break up the tandem race. The tandems do one lap - and while 25 miles may not sound like a lot, it's early enough in the year that after crossing the uphill finish we've never wished for more.

TOUR: NORTHWEST TANDEM RALLY, Jun 29-Jul 2 - Salem, OR
OK, this is obviously not a tandem race. But the NWTR is my favorite non-tandem-race, and the most fun you'll have with several hundred other geekbikes. Join us for a weekend full of tandem rides of varying lengths - and riders of varying abilities. Fun for the whole family! This year the NWTR is in Salem and promises some excellent riding. Registration is now open!

And yes, you better plan on racing in July, as the replacement for the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race celebrates its second year in Central Oregon. The High Desert Omnium is our host again this year July 7-8, 2012. Sponsored by Co-Motion Cycles, tandems will have a Saturday morning criterium, Saturday afernoon TT (9 miles), and a tough 37 mile road race on Sunday near Mt Bachelor!
