I think the blood is mine after my last crash. Can I have it back?

(Great work, Stewart!)

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Alpenrose track final update- revision

So I am reposting this message for those of you who did not catch it. The revision is that all the bags of paint chips have been taken care of. This morning I showed up right at the same time Nathan Frechen did, by chance. He helped me carry up 34 bags- 1300 lbs of paint chips. Thank You very very much-Nathan.
So the track is washed but still closed untill we can get some patching done.
Also remember I am offering 1/2 price concrete washing to all OBRA members from now untill the end of April.

REPOST:
So this is my final update in regards to washing the Alpenrose Velodrome. I am finished!! I thought that you all might find some of my results interesting.
It took me 105 hours to wash all the concrete including the grand stands, front sidewalk, even the podium. There is a total of 46,500 sqft of concrete out there, 20,000 of that is the actual track. The track had multiple layers of paint and I blasted off about 80% of the paint. What’s left out there is not flaking off. In total I bagged up 61 bags of paint chips and if I had to guess, it comes out to 2,400 lbs. I spent $150 just in gas for my washer and no idea how much water I used. I also found about 75 safety pins, 20 presta valve lock rings, 3 handle bar plugs, and I even found a little blood on turn 4 (sorry for whose ever that was.) Like I said before…this was a paying job, but after all the hours and expenses there was no profit made for Bridge City Pressure Washing. The goal was to have a price that the track could afford and that I could pay a few bills during my slow season.
There are still some tied up bags of paint chips down on turn one. So if you’re in the neighborhood and feel so inclined…stop by and carry up 1 bag up to the side walk. Otherwise I will be out there this Sunday getting a great workout carrying up the rest of the bags.
Here is a link to some of the pictures that I took out there if you want to check them out. There under the “Alpenrose” tab. http://bridgecitypw.com/portfolio/
The track is still closed until we can get some warmer weather to start patching the holes, like last year. I strongly advise not to even try to ride on the track right now…you will get a pinch flat on some of the holes.
With doing all of this concrete, I’m now inspired to offer OBRA members a 50% discount for all concrete washing from now until the end of April. Hopefully some extra work will help me to finish building up a TT bike this season.
Thanks, and hopefully you all will actually see me racing on the track this year instead of just working on it.
