DQ's?

Ditto on that. We did try to talk to everyone but could not find them. If
anyone has questions about why they were DQ'd all they need to do is ask.

Thanks Candi. We did try to talk with those riders. But, with the finish
line a few miles from the parking area, some folks got away before we had a
chance.

DQ's can only be done by the CR. If he needs her email, let me know.

For all officials. DQ's should all be spoken with at the event.

just curious here. one of my team mates was DQ'd at sunday's Cherry Pie.
he's been routed to three different people to tell him why he was DQ'd but
no one can tell him anything. more than like it wouldn't have been the
center line rule, he was off the front most of his race. it would seem that
without a reason for this DQ then he should get a placing. or is this "just
how it is?" random DQ's with no reason?

if only there was an answer for your nameless teammate. a protocol or way for them to do something.

if only page 29 would tell us:

http://www.obra.org/pdfs/2012rules.pdf

I don't know anything about the incident in question, but there are rules and ways to go about complaining. I find our officials to be very willing to explain to people the decisions that they've made. Especially if the DQ'd rider asks nicely.

If your teammate has questions about the process, I am happy to talk with your teammate.

I've always wondered about those lawyers doing those high end cyclist drug cases. Maybe I could add OBRA DQ defense work to my quiver. Afterall, I've got some free time now that I gave away the RV!

One last thing, to all the officials. The reason for the DQ should be
listed on the results. It should say DQ, centerline (or whatever) Just
listing a blanket dq does not educate anyone.
Just saying......

As one of the official's working Cherry Pie, I'm pretty offended by being accused of randomly DQ'ing people.

Have a little respect for the people trying to make your racing safe and fair for all riders.

And, if you're going to call people out, sign your e-mail.

Just like every other race, your teammate should contact the Chief Ref, Terri Camp. She'll tell him exactly why he was DQ'd.

There should have been a reason why on the results sheet. Maybe he got caught pissing in public before the race.
