End hunger and homelessness in Oregon

6.6% of Oregon households (95,000 households per year) have gone through times of hunger when there was not enough money for food, only Mississippi has a higher percentage of hunger than Oregon, 29.2% of children in Oregon households don't have consistant access to food; in a country as large as the United States this shouldn't be happening.

But how do we stop this? Hunger and Homelessness is a big issue, most people agree we need to reduce hunger and homelessness in Oregon, but don't know how to help reduce it.
