interested people
Some Bums replied and we are meeting at the Cascade Locks “EasyClimb” trail at 10:30 AM tomorrow to ride and TT. If you come and have room, bring dry wood for fire pit. If we get it going, there is other wood for burning, but it will have gotten wet. Be prepared for cold, wet, (and some mud) conditions, but your car will be right where we are riding**. One category.........person on bike. Remember. You are not only responsible for your own safety, but probably for timing yourself as well!

Directions.............you can look at the NWTA site or take a chance on mine!
East on I-84 to Cascade Locks exit 44...take it
You go under freeway and into town past exit to bridge of gods....about 1/2 mile.
Take a left on Forest Lane (there is a left turn lane). Follow it about 1.5-2 miles. You cross a big creek and then come upon a big mill (Bear Mtn. Wood Pellets). Turn left at road on East end of mill. It is Cramblett Way.
Follow it...first paved, then gravel, then potholed gravel across a huge flat area to a turnaround and fire pit. You are at the trailhead / parking area.
See whoever shows.

Subject: unofficial off road ride/tt

Dirt Bums,
I am considering doing a ride/tt on sunday at either southside scappoose or cascade locks. this will be about as unofficial as it gets. if anyone is interested let me know your preferences of locations and times (both places would work with c.locks having better parking and a fire pit. someone needs to bring a stopwatch, and even better if you really want a time have a computer on your bike. I am working at c. locks tomorrow, and busy on saturday, but will post or respond with which place it will happen and times (this is a democracy with the exception that large amounts of money can sway my decision)
oh yeah....there will be no official start time, just get in line and ride your bike. it is a bike ride for whoever wants to show. should be no center line to worry about. one class for all.........EDDIELITE! All bikes same class.
we might name this ride if people like it.

this sounds like fun. I vote for Scappoose but it could get tricky if it's unmarked?
