Reminder: Banana Belt and 60+ Racers

Work precludes my racing in the series. Wish I could. There's nothing quite as exciting as watching the field ride away as I struggle up the hills.

A follow up to a note that was sent out a few weeks ago.

The first Banana Belt Race is coming next Sunday and the promoter has stated
that if there are at least fifteen (15) racers that sign up for 60+ they
would have their own race as well as the opportunity to vote for a three (3)
lap race instead of the advertised four (4) lap 44 mile distance.

If you have strong feelings about racing with your age graded peers then by
all means make an effort to show your interest by coming to this race, who
knows, maybe the long range forecast will hold for partly sunny and dry!

Ron

Currently 4 60 plus men, and 8 50 plus men are pre registered.
Very low registration numbers at this point, what are you all waiting for?

I agree with Steve. If we do get our own 60+ race, I see no reason to
shorten it to 3 laps.

One could only hope a 3 lap race is not voted in.
