+1 more for Terry. I rode one (with chromoly rails) for 3 years without
breaking it ... finally wore it out. Great comfortable saddle. I've often
considered going back to a Terry...

I am not a burley dude, but I do hate broken seats.

+1 on good seatpost clamp (Thompson is a good example)
I have found Terry saddles to be tough.

Track sprinters are sometime great testers for riders who may exceed the 135 pound weight limit in the pro peloton. Steven Alford once broke a seat post during the AVC at Alpenrose. My friend Tim Luther has broken pedal axles. Would suggest you contact the seat manufacturers or post an item on Fixed Gear Fever, a site for track racers, and see what they say.

Gee thanks Kenji,

I could just say that it's not that I need to loose 15 lbs, it's that
I'm an little short for my weight. Uh....but when I'm 6'-4" that is
kind of a hard sell. Besides I've got a Saddle with bent rails to
prove it.....

As a big man myself, I would offer that the seat post clamp (longer rail
support cradles) is more important than the type of metal the rails
are...as long as you stick to metal :)

I've broken several saddles in the past, so I can understand the concern.
Like mentioned - the chromoly rails are pretty bomber. WTB makes great
bomb proof saddles in general. I've never broken a WTB.

I have broken a Fiz'ik Arione Gamma MX with the Ki'um rails. I have NOT
broken a Fiz'ik Tundra So far, have NOT broken the Selle Italia something
or other ... Flight Pro, I think?

Also like Don mentioned - a seat post with a proper clamp that distributes
the clamping load properly is good.

I have a WTB Speed V Pro Gel, very very lightly used for sale. Came off my
wife's bike. I believe it's chomoly rails - 400 grams. Not light, but
it's pretty bomber.

IMO - weight on a CX bike is a non issue for the saddle. A few grams more
will mean nothing at the end of 45 minutes of racing.

Could also look at the I-Beam style as well.

Also, use a seatpost that supports the saddle rails well. Some high
end models have small, short clamping areas that insrease the stress
on the rails.

Since I'm over 200lbs my advice should carry some weight. Chrome Moly rails are
the strongest so if you don't care about weight something like the Selle San
Marco Ponza on my cross bike would work well. If you want to shave some grams
look at the Vanox or Ti rail designs that will still bend before breaking.

I'm close to 200lbs and have issues with bending seat rails. In looking to
replace the saddle on my cross bike I'm wondering what type of rails to
consider. I understand carbon rails break before bending, so I doubt that's my
choice. There's got to be some clydes out there who've suffered my same fate, so
help a brother out with just a bit of good advice (and there'll be an endless
basket of french fries for you in Heaven).
