I know it is a pain to go on a ride and come across this type of stuff that makes you dismount, but we have to work with them. It is fine to remove debris that blows out of trees and super small stuff you can drag out the way. But please do not CUT. We are starting some of the work in the next few days.

Just an update for people who ride out there.

NWTA knows there has been blow down and have worked an agreement with Longview to do some rerouting / removal etc. In the spirit of this agreement, PLEASE do not cut trees across the trail. I know it is a pain to go on a ride and come across this type of stuff that makes you dismount, but we have to work with them. It is fine to remove debris that blows out of trees and super small stuff you can drag out the way. But please do not CUT. We are starting some of the work in the next few days.

When you come across things that need attention either email andyj@nw-trail.org (who is the NWTA member in contact with Longview) or respond to me here on OBRA and I can let him know problem or even get out there and look myself. When we get these problems solved in a manner that keeps Longview happy, we are becoming more important partners with them.
Please let your fellow riders know about this and thanks so very much.
Now.........get out there and ride.
