Hey Obra Kai students,

The time has come to pass on my very first race weapon. I raced it to Middle Catland a couple years ago, stripped it down to a corner sitting dust collector, and rebuilt it a few months ago only to realize I've grown out of its vintage steely style.

Yours to keep for $800 OBO if you can handle the power of wielding this Italian-crafted precision implement. I must now continue on the dreary financial path that bike racing has set before me until all have felt the crushing blows delivered by the Obra Kai method. Help my journey along!

Real details:

Late 80s Torelli Corsa Strada. Lugged Columbus Aelle tubing
55.5 cm downtube c-t-c. 55 cm c-t-c top tube.
Newly repacked Campy Record 1" threaded headset.
Campagnolo seat post binder, 27.2.
Internal top tube cable routing for the rear brake. Sweet divers' bell cable stop for the rear derailleur.
Headtube and BB have both been faced. Seat tube has been reamed. Rear spacing cold set to 135mm for modern drivetrains, for example, this one:

Campagnolo 10 speed
Centaur 53/39 Crankset at 170mm
Centaur Front Derailleur Clamp-On
Chorus Rear Derailleur. Pre 10-speed but works great and looks even better.
Centaur 12-25 10 speed Cassette
32H Mavic Open Pros laced to Record rear and Chorus front hubs. Nice polish-finish era. Lots of rim life left.
Record QR Skewers

Campagnolo Non-Aero Drillium Brake Levers. Sweet!
3TTT Tour de France Bars
3TTT 120 mm stem with clamp expander screw to make bar installation a breeze.
Centaur brakeset. New Kool Stop Salmon pads.
New Wipperman Connex 10s chain.
New Veloflex Master clincher tires. Made in Italy. Mmmmm.
New Brooks Swift Honey Saddle. (Maybe ridden 0.1 Miles)

Chorus Syncro downtube shifters. Syncro mechanism has been long removed so they're completely friction. They pull through all 10 rear cogs, so you can have the special feeling of dumping the whole cassette at once if you feel like it. Who else can say that?

Literally rode the bike around the block after I rebuilt it to make sure everything was right. Since then, I've been too busy to use it, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized my love for steel has diminished.

The frame has a just couple blemishes as shown in the photos. Notably some missing paint on the right seat stay. Not a deal breaker, and it wasn't me! so I don't know the exact cause. Frame is straight though, for sure.

Pedals not included.

Thanks!

Christopher
