Thank you for the feedback. I believe we may have piqued the Bikehugger's
interest, but I don't think he will be up to doing it on his fancy new CX
bike. Unless peer pressure works for them.

There are 2 parts that I would say a Fat tire bike would rock verses (super
tree trail) first one and the stair step climb, loose and 25% (10 minute of
warming your body)
the roads are soft and unless you flat, it would be faster

rain x for glasses? that should be the thread

Yes. There is so much climbing on the fire road that a mud packed cross bike will be much lighter than a mud packed mtb bike.

I've never done the course, asking for a friend. Is it really doable on a
cyclocross bike?

47 Degrees and 70% chance of rain!

Thanks to all the great sponsors who make this happen
Peak Sports
Specialized
Rivercity Bicycles
George Delights
Rolf Prima
Ergon
Hammer Nutrition
Deschutes Brewery
Yakima
and many more!

Well no sticky mud, just the surface mud that slings out of your way as you
carve downhill and ride up logging roads to the next section of thrills.

many people ask me if the race is "Beginner Friendly" Well yes as I would
say a good amount of you first got a taste of mountain bike racing from the
Mudslinger over the 24 years that it has been going on. Well marked and 12
miles and 1500 ft, so 1 hr to 1:40 for most

Cross Bikes Please bring them, with the exception of the very first trail
you will have an advantage in most cases on this course. Also on that note
how many years of cross does it take to have a slip N slide to race on when
CX is going on in September or early October and its bone dry....Mud
fetish....no problem! This is early season CX training at its finest......

Last year it was 71 and dry so at least all is good in the world and things
make a bit more sense this year.

Online Registration is open until 2pm Friday
Day before Reg and packet Pick up at Peak Sports Saturday 2-4pm if you want
to save a few bucks prior to day of
Day of Registration is 7-9am or 9:30 for the S & M guys and gals (Inside
joke) and we have 12 people to take care of you
Pasta and Bread For great harvest will be waiting after you finish
Big raffle as always and custom awards 3 deep for 25 categories
DJ Dave Campbell will be on the MIC and get your fender ready
Sign up at Athlete path for the series
Kids race at 1:30

Thanks and drive safe and carpool if you can
