Interested in a very nice Cross bike? Want to support Juniors, Bear Springs Trap, and Cross Crusade?

The bike part!
NO IT IS NOT CARBON FIBER............but sweet Scandium!
I am selling my 52cm Major Jake (2 full seasons of cross, but split each season with another bike so low miles / use) white Scandium. I have removed my stan’s wheels and installed two anchors in the form of Shimano RS10 s with equally as heavy road tires (Specialized All condition Armadillo 700 x 28 tires). It is set up with 9 speed (ultegra rear cassette and der., 105 front der., dura ace bar end shifters and dura ace brake levers). Full carbon Alpha Q cx20 fork with gold Chris King headset, kore canti brakes (white to match frame). Sram Rival 172.5 crank (46 /36 rings) with gold Chris King bottom bracket. Black Thomson Elite seatpost with gold seat binder and Selle Itallia SLR seat. 90mm Ritchey WCS 4 axis stem with Salsa moto ace short and shallow 44cm bars. Most of the frame’s life experience it has been protected in crucial places with electrical tape. I cleaned most off and the it looks virtually new.
Even with the “Anchor” components of wheels, tires, bars, and to some extent the crankset and ultegra cassette, the bike weighs 18.8 lbs.
Just imagine what one could do with a few of those lightweight parts you have sitting around.................especially those sweet wheels!

The support part!
I am hauling this down to Sellwood Cycle Repair so they can sell it. I hope to have it down there in the next couple of hours. Support you say? Well they sponsor the Junior Cyclocross Series, Bear Springs Trap, and Cross Crusade as well as doing much with other key organizations helping kids and cycling. They also sponsor Team S&M, Gentle Lovers, Lazy T’s and more.
So remember your local shop who is stepping up to help not only racing, but other key aspects of where we live. Oh yeah! I have no idea what the price on this will be as I always let them set the selling price.

So here is your chance to pick up a bike that could easily be a racer near or below 18 lbs, in beautiful condition. Of course it is not perfect, only you are. Just buy it and support things you care about in the process!
