2012 SISTERS STAMPEDE XC MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE

Mark your calendars, and make your Memorial Day weekend plans to come to Sisters, Oregon for the third annual Sisters Stampede Mountain bike race Presented by the Peak 104.1.
The third annual Sisters Stampede is stop number six on the 2012 Oregon XC MTB series calendar.
The Sisters Stampede takes riders and racers through the beautiful pine forests of the Sisters Ranger District on the Peterson Ridge Trail, and offers breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountain range. With a large amount of single track, riders will be challenged to negotiate sections of volcanic rock, and sweeping single track turns.
2012 features a new course design which allows racers more chances to pass, and includes two moderate climbs. There also will be no overlapping of categories on the upper section of the ridge where riders in the past had a ‘lap’ scenario. Other changes will include all event activities and parking to be done in the large field near the Start/Finish area.
Finishing in the backyard of Three Creeks Brewing, and the Five Pine Lodge, racers will enjoy a pint of “Ridge Trail Ale”, and kick up their feet to a live band, and a Free Kids Race and obstacle course. Riders who finish in the top three of any of the 25 different categories, will win a custom
tote bag filled with goodies from our great sponsors. Men and Women overall will split $1,000, and the king and queen will be crowned with the custom Stampede Champion belt buckle, along with a night at Five Pine, and dinner at Three Creeks. There will also be a raffle, give aways, and memories to last a lifetime!
