Beautiful Estacada Time Trial is happening in just a few days. Due to a packed OBRA schedule there is only one chance to race Beautiful ETT this year. So be sure to come to race!
Next
Sunday the Bossen family will be heading out to Estacada to put on the
race. We have ordered mild but dry weather.
We will have
Starbucks coffee, deli sandwiches, drinks and goodies for sale at our
Snack Stand run by one of the moms and various kids.
All
proceeds from the Snack Stand and the race go to finance the bike
riding/racing habits of 11 year olds Asher Woods
and Annika Sandaine, 9 year old Jude Woods, 6
year olds LauraLee Martin and Tristan Woods, plus 2 year old Sasha.
This race is a beginner friendly race, with lots
of knowledgeable people around to help a beginner with everything from
how to pin your number on to pointers on how to race. This race is also
a chance for experienced racers to best your time from last year or
years before.
Registration is easy all you have to do is go to
the OBRA main page and click on the registration link next to Eatacada
Time Trial or the link on the flier page. If you prefer to put it in
the snail mail (directions on flier) you would need to get it in the
mail right away for it to arrive by Fri. Pre registration is strongly
recommended but if you just must procrastinate you can show up at 8:30
AM pay the procrastinator fee and hope for one of the remaining time
slots. As usual our Check In area is open all day with friendly people
who can answer most questions or find someone who can.
We will
be having loosely organized kiddie races throughout the day on a section
of closed road near registration, so go ahead and stick in the bikes
and helmets for your younger riders too. Our young racers will be
around all day and love to have other kids to race with. Anytime there
are enough little racers around we will organize a race to suit them.
