Hi folks. We're just a couple days away from this years Short Track in
Bend. Central Oregon Community College will be the site again this year
with a few small changes. We'll be starting off Mt Washington Dr. near the
new Culinary Center. With a start/finish down low, I can keep the climbing
to a minimum. Expect a much faster course this year with some a lot of fun
trails right here in town.
Another addition is I'll be taking profits and creating a scholarship for
an athlete attending COCC. Very excited to get this going and looking
forward to this becoming a regular contribution.
Cogwild has donated shuttle passes to the series. So
each race you'll have a chance at winning a free shuttle with them. Pretty
sweet deal. The passes will go to a predetermined finish place. And winners
will get a free entry to the next weeks race.
I'm heading out soon to put the finishing touches on the course. I will
have the course marked early Wednesday afternoon, but you can take a look
at the course online for now. This is a 5 race series happening every
Wednesday of May.
You can also prepay for races. Feel free to pay for the series this week,
then all I'll need you to do is sign in at each race. Prepaid races are not
transferable. So use them during this years short track or lose them.
