Speaking of the St. Johns Bridge...
Heads up!
The water bureau has STEEL PLATES across the road from curb to curb on the road many people turn RIGHT on at the east end of the bridge! This is the road on the bridge side of the old St. Johns City Hall building / North Portland Police center (between building and the police car parking lot). If a person takes a right there at speed, they will encounter this steel within 20 feet. Be careful! Especially if wet surfaces.
A good number of people take a right here to work their way back to Willamette Blvd.
